An octagonal copolyester softer than most: control, comfort and tension hold in a single string. The edges add a little bite, the softness keeps the tolerance — the ball is attacked without the floaty feel of strings that are too soft.

What the measurement says
Linear density 1.69 g/m, elongation 12.9% — halfway between the N°2 and the N°4. Enough stretch for the ball to leave on its own rather than being pushed, little enough for the trajectory to stay predictable. This is the natural crossing from soft to firm. Every figure in the range is measured the same way: the numbers compare against each other.
Gauges & structure
Octagonal section: eight edges that bite the felt without turning the string bed into a rasp. Gauges 1.20 / 1.25 / 1.30 mm. A thinner gauge bites more and returns more spin but wears faster; a thicker one lasts longer and moves toward neutral.
Set or reel
