Custom Tuning: Weight, Balance & Swingweight
€29.90
Your racquet, brought to values you chose.
A retail frame is sold on the nominal figures of its model. Those figures are targets, not measurements: nobody takes an individual frame back off the line to bring it to an exact value, and two units of the same reference commonly differ by several grams of mass and several points of swingweight. That is ordinary industrial practice. It is not a scandal — it is a step that has not been done. This service does it.
What we measure. Mass, balance, swingweight and twistweight, on your own frame, before anything is added. That is the baseline, and it is written down.
What we calculate. The exact mass to add, and where to put it, to reach the targets you give us — or those returned by the configurator, which derives them from the way you play. A gram has no value in itself. It only has value somewhere.
How we apply it. Weighting paste injected inside the handle through the trapdoor, for recoilweight and MGR/I. Lead tape on the frame for swingweight, and at three and nine o'clock for twistweight.
What comes back. The same measurements taken again and handed back with the racquet. Before and after, in writing. You will know what you are playing, which is the entire point.
What it does not do. It adds no level and it corrects no stroke. It removes the gap between the racquet you own and the values that suit your game — nothing more, and that is already a great deal.
Matching. Order the service for two frames and they leave aligned on the same values, not merely bearing the same name.
How it works. Order the service. Ship your racquet to the workshop, in Normandy — the details are sent with your order confirmation. Add your target specs in the order notes, or let us derive them. Count two weeks.

What is measured, and given back in writing
Mass, balance, swingweight and twistweight, taken on your own frame before anything is added. That is the baseline, and it is written down. The same measurements are taken again afterwards and go back with the racquet. Before and after, on paper — you will know what you are playing, which is the entire point.
Lead and putty
Two materials, two quantities. Lead goes on the frame: swingweight and torsional stability. Putty goes in the handle, through the butt: balance, recoilweight, MGR/I. The same four grams are worth 12.5 swingweight points at the tip and zero at the butt — the calculation decides where they go, not habit.
Matching two racquets
Order the service for two frames and they leave aligned on the same values, not merely bearing the same name. €29.90 for the first racquet, €25 for each additional one, up to six.
Shipping and lead time
The racquet goes to the workshop, in Normandy; the shipping details go out with your order confirmation. Allow two weeks from the day it arrives. A repair, a paintjob or a stringing can be ordered in the same shipment — the racquet makes one round trip. Tell us when you order and we will give you the lead time for the whole job.
